I have started a metal recycling bucket, I have ezy scrap coming to pick up so me old garden furniture so and going to give them my bucket of met scrap. I figure this is better than going in the waste and I don't think you can put this kind of stuff in the recycling bin.

My aim to to get my ration of recycling/give away to garbage to tilt to the recycling side, I seem to be putting to much in the garbage. 

I also need to find out if there is any way to recycle power cords/ phone chargers etc. I hate putting them in the garbage so I will work on finding a place today for them, if its possible. searching now!

I have decided to change my counting to see just how much I do throw out.

Oh Melly you are ruthless, I  am starting small and you have gone all out. Its fun to think my 2 kitchen drawers are such a mess and will be clean soon. This is the third day of 10 things and I am thinking Oh but I might need that one day! I guess that is why they are so full of crap. Now the hardest thing for me will be when I come to magazines and books. I love my books but I will need to think of a time span if I have not opened a book in --- years out it goes. But that will leave room for new books.

My goodness do I have some junk in those 2 draws. its so easy to find 10 things but If I continue this for a year it will get hard I am sure but then there is always my studio and my old studio is storage and i have not been there for about 2 years so I am sure it could all go out!

Ok Melly . I am trowing out, recycling, giving away but out of my house 10 things a day until I go away in 10 days so thats 100 bits and pieces. Starting with my kitchen junk draws.

3. empty packet recycling
4. eraser garbage
5. mobile phone Recycling
6. mobile phone Recycling
7. note book give away
8. head set garbage
9. membership card garbage
10. stack of receipts ( I have many little stacks) shred and recycle

So 5 out of 10 is garbage my aim is to recycle more than go into the garbage. so we will see how we get on. I have 9 rooms down stairs ( including that garage) and 3 rooms upstairs that are the girls bedrooms and one has been made into a closet so hopefully by the end of next year I should have a clean house if I can keep this up.
